Hedge Maintenance - Reduction & Trimming

Hedges and screens are not only great forms of privacy but they can also become brilliant homes for nesting birds. We will always try and do any major works when nesting season is finished, but if that’s not an option, we will do a climbing inspection prior to work to make sure we won’t be disturbing any wildlife.

If your hedge is completely overgrown and in need of a major height reduction, or even if it just needs its yearly trim, we have lots of experience in all different types of scenarios. Depending on the species of the hedge and what you are hoping to achieve we will advise you on what can be accomplished for the very best possible outcome.

We will take all necessary care during the trimming of your hedges. Any precious plants/shrub borders will be covered where possible, and all lawned or landsaped areas raked and blown completely clean.

Hedge Removals

Sometimes a hedge becomes unmanageable if left unchecked for too long(notably Leylandii), and often the only option left is to remove the hedge entirely. If this option is chosen, we generally encourage replanting of new hedgerows to replace the lost screen. We can make things easier by completely removing the stumps, thereby excavating the area ready for planting.
